Man Utd Name Squad for Leeds Pre-Season allows Ruben Amorim leaves on nine first team players

Manchester United published a team of 29 players before their pre -season friendly friendly in Stockholm on Saturday – and there are nine notable absent.

The UTD man’s outfit by Ruben Amorim will face Leeds United by Daniel Farke in the Swedish capital while their pre-season begins.

The new signatures Matheus Cunha and Pedro Leon are included in the travel party, which will travel on Friday afternoon.

Cunha will wear the number ten shirt if it appears, while Leon will wear the number 30 if he makes his unofficial debut.

Diogo Dalot, Chido Obi and Tyler Fredricson have also received new numbers and will wear two, 32 and 33 numbers.

But not everyone will be involved in the trip to Sweden.

United published a statement Friday July 18, confirming several notable absent.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana and striker Joshua Zirkzee lack injury. Lisandro Martinez, Marcus Rashford, Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho will not travel either, while Harry Amass is likely to go on loan and was omitted from the travel team for the match against Leeds.

According to the MENCentral defender Martinez is currently part of an individual rehabilitation program and responds well to treatment following an injury to his crossed ligament in February.

Rashford, Malacia, Sancho and Antony were all ready during the 2024/25 campaign and will likely go from United this summer. While Garnacho would have been invited to find a new club by head coach Amorim in the middle of the interest of Napoli and Chelsea.
