Enzo Barrenechea presented as the new signature of Benfica after the move of Aston Villa loan

Benfica officially announced this Friday the signing of the Argentinian midfielder Enzo Barrenechea, which belonged to Aston Villa and was loaned to Valencia last season.

Barrenechea arrives on loan from Aston Villa, for an amount of three million euros. However, there is a purchase clause of 12 million euros, which will be triggered at the end of the season, in June 2026.

Aston Villa will also have the right to receive a share of 30% of the value of any capital gain made in a future transfer of the player, capped at a maximum of 10 million euros.
