Applications are invited from those with previous relevant experience in healthcare, SVQ3/relevant healthcare experience and competency in Venepuncture.

This is a diverse role which involves the delivery of a high level of support to the nursing team whilst also working autonomously within identified competencies, to a population who have a complex range of health issues. You will need to maintain awareness and compliance with security procedures within the prison setting at HMP Stirling

The Health Care Support Worker is an integral role in the extensive multi disciplinary team, whose overall aim is to improve the physical, mental health and wellbeing of people in prison, to support rehabilitation and to contribute to the offender outcome strategy by supporting clinicians in their provision of high quality, safe, effective and efficient care to individual patients at whatever their point of need is in their healthcare journey.

The ability to demonstrate high quality, person–centred care and good team working is essential.
