Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Operational Manager to join Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

The Operational Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for designated services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality care whilst meeting performance, workforce and financial objectives. The post holder will work closely with clinical leaders, service users, carers and system partners to support service improvement, transformation and the achievement of Trust priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative leader who is passionate about improving patient outcomes, developing teams and delivering sustainable services across mental health care pathways.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide operational leadership and management for designated services.
  • Lead service delivery to ensure safe, effective and responsive care.
  • Monitor and improve performance against key quality, workforce and operational indicators.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical leaders to drive service improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead and support workforce planning, recruitment, retention and staff development.
  • Ensure effective management of allocated budgets and resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead on governance, quality improvement, risk management and patient safety initiatives.
  • Contribute to business planning, service redesign and implementation of Trust objectives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, learning, inclusion and staff wellbeing.
