Bookmakers publish early dimensions for the PFA player of the year in 2025/26 with an emergence of surprise favorite


With the new Premier League campaign within a month, Arsenal Bukayo Saka winger is the first bookmaker to win the PFA 2025/26 PFA Prize.

We have not even crowned the winner of this year’s PFA awards and bookmakers Stupidity Debt that could potentially raise the individual price in 2026.

Saka, who was one of the Arsenal’s outside competitions in 2024/25 with 12 goals and 13 assists, is currently the first favorite at 13/2 while the Mikel Arteta team should again challenge for the title of Premier League.

The English international is certainly a coherent interpreter. He is one of the only three players in the Premier League to reach the double figures for the two goals and the assists in all competitions in each of the last three seasons, alongside Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes.

Florian Wirtz should challenge Saka after his first season in Liverpool. The German playmaker is currently at the price of 7/1 to win the PFA Prize, while the internationals of England Phil Foden and Cole Palmer are the favorites of 8/1.



Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom gave an overview of the ratings before the Premier League games of the opening day next month.

“Bukayo Saka is the first favorite to win the player of the year 2025/26,” he said. “The Arsenal star has a period of 13/2 to collect the estimated price, having played a key role in the campaign of the Arsenal Champions League which saw them reach the semi-finals.

“The new boy of Liverpool, Florian Wirtz, follows on 7/1 with Phil Foden and Cole Palmer 8/1, elsewhere, Matheus Cunha at 33/1 and Noni Madueke Un Outsider 40/1 after his move to Arsenal.”
