Sir Alex Ferguson leaves after having said to two legends of the UTD man whom he will not participate in the “nonsense” podcast

Sir Alex Ferguson moved away from a podcast and dragged two legends of Manchester United.

Ferguson appreciated an emblematic managerial spell in Man United, winning 13 impressive first League and two Champions League titles.

He managed several great players, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.

Not to mention Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick, who both played under Ferguson during his career at Old Trafford.

Ferdinand won six Premier League titles and the Champions League with Man United after transferring Leeds United. He turned to Punditry and other commercial enterprises, including his podcast, after calling time on his stellar career.

As for Carrick, he won a multitude of trophies, including the Champions League, before becoming a manager.

He managed the Middlesbrough Championship outfit between October 2022 and June 2025 after receiving a position on the coaches of Jose Mourinho during his spell Man United.

Carrick was dismissed at the end of last season after two and a half years in charge

Since then, he sat with Ferdinand to talk about his management career and his time in Man United.

And during the podcast, Ferguson interrupted the conversation.

Ferguson said, “What is it?!”

The Scot added: “I don’t do this podcast”, before joking: “I just want to listen to the nonsense you are talking about.”

Five minutes after sitting next to Ferdinand and Carrick, his phone rang during their conversation on the podcast.

Ferdinand asked: “Isn’t that the gaffer’s phone?”

He added: “Go ahead, it’s good … it’s the gaffer, we just have to continue.”

On X, Ferdinand posted a Ferguson clip interrupting the podcast, accompanied by the legend: “When the boss (Sir Alex) enters and interrupts your recording … Wait for the end when his phone rings

“Even after 12 years, we still don’t find the courage to tell him !! Rio meets Michael Carrick.”
