Rosenborg Sign Player of the Year in Danish Superliga De Randers
Rosenborg signed the player of the year of last season in the Danish Superliga, Simen Nordli, on a four -year contract.
Norwegain International, 25, signed a contract until the 2029 season.
“It’s absolutely fantastic. A big dream come true, so I’m very happy. I have been a supporter of Rosenborg since I was a little boy and I dreamed of playing for the club, so it’s just huge”, Said Nordli.
Simen Nordi joined Randers in January 2023 with Aalesunds FK, on an agreement valid for three and a half years.
Since then, he has played 75 games, scored 22 goals, delivered 13 assists and won the prize as a player of the year in the Danish Superliga last season.
Nordli would have had a buyout clause that Rosenborg was willing to trigger. It was first a year on his contract with Randers.
“It was a great year, and I did it step by step. Now I am ready to contribute to Rosenborg”, he said.
Rosenborg sports director Micke Dorsin is delighted with the purchase and said on the club’s website:
“Simen is very clever in decisive situations when he has the opportunity, both to do the last pass but also the last third goes, and, moreover, he is a good finisher.”
“This is why we take it, he is a good team player who works hard for the team, and he is a Norwegian who knows Rosenborg well in terms of our history, our culture and our identity, explains Dorsin.
