Allsvenskan Weekly: Mjallby beat Aik in six points while Hammarby maintains the pressure

The leaders of Allsvenskan Mjallby not only maintained their lead of four points at the top of the table, but did significant damage to one of their title rivals, while they were beating AIK 2-0. However, Hammarby, the second, did not allow the gone to grow because they came from behind to beat Brommapjkarna.

Mjallby protected an undefeated race of eight games in the league while they welcomed an inconsistent AIK in Hallevik, knowing that there would be only two points separating them if the visitors finish this race.

The pressure on visitors was revealing because a corner of Bajen in the 72nd minute was wrapped in his own net by Kevin Ackermann to level the scores. Four minutes later, the turnaround was finished – a blocked shot fell with kindness to Montader Madjed, who pulled the winning goal at home.

The crucial 3-2 victory maintains Hammarby four points from Mjallby, while BP saw their three-game winning race ending dramatically, and they fall to 10th.

Malmo now breathes Aik’s neck when they attended five unbeaten championship games by beating Oster 2-0 far from their home, now sitting at two points behind Solna.

Otto Rosengren marked the opener halfway through the first half, before setting up the clincher halfway from the second for Sead Haksabanovic. Oster remains in the relegation area after three defeats.

The champions exceeded Ellsborg in the classification, while Djurgarden was the team to overtake BP, because the early goal of August Priske was sufficient for the iron stoves to win 1-0 at home.
