Club sets up on deal for Jack Grenish as part of an amazing Premier League raid in two players

Jack Grealish is in the limbo in his career in Manchester City, having been encouraged by Pep Guardiola watching other clubs at the end of last season.

Grealish had a hard time for minutes in the Premier League last season, fighting against recurring injury problems and looking at most of the campaign from the bench. On the last day of the Premier League season in Fulham, Guardiola left Grenish from his city team and then admitted that the English international could leave Etihad because he needs to play regularly.

The winger was then left home while City flew to the United States for the FIFA club World Cup, and does not seem to be in Guardiola’s first choice plans for the upcoming campaign. City signed the midfielder Rayan Cherki in June to increase competition in advanced positions while Guardiola seeks to improve their disappointing campaign in the last quarter.

A major change in City this summer came while the club decided not to renew the contract of Kevin de Bruyne, the Belgian choosing Serie A Champions Napoli as a new club. Napoli managed to sign unwanted Premier League players last season with Scott Mctuminay and Billy Gilmour playing important roles in their victory in the title.

And they could add Grenalish to this growing list as Gazzetta dello Sport suggesting that Napoli contacted the Grealish camp before a possible approach. They add that Grealish’s salary could be prohibitive to an agreement but could be open to a loan if the city covers part of its wages.

The report also appoints that the Liverpool striker, Federico Chiesa, as a possible transfer target after his slow first season on the Merseyside. Chiesa was left at the house of the Liverpool pre-season tour on a minor injury problem, but Gazzetta says that it is a strong signal ” that he is not in the plans of Arne Slot and that Chiesa was invited to seek a return to his native Italy. They report that Napoli is an option, and the Azzurri plan to make a movement with space for him in their team.

Chiesa wants to win her place in the Italian national team before the 2026 World Cup, although they are faced with a challenge to qualify currently third in their qualification group behind Norway and Israel, but playing only two games so far.
