Manchester United should have won the title of Premier League 2017/18, according to Jose Mourinho, who once again made comments told on Manchester City and their current FFP.

Mourinho, who said on several occasions that guiding his united team towards a premier League finalist was one of his greatest achievements, continues to be expressed on the subject.

In February 2023, the Premier League invoiced in Manchester City to have violated the rules of the financial show 115 times over a period of nine years.

City would not have provided precise financial information, according to the Premier League, while the club denied any reprehensible act, claiming that they had an “irrefutable corpus of evidence” which will prove them innocent to them.

A private hearing took place in December but a verdict has still not been reached.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has not abandoned the title of the League in the middle of the city’s legal affair.

In fact, during an interview with Canal 11 this week, the Portuguese director suggested that those who violate the FFP rules should “pay in points” before claiming once again that Manchester United would have won the Premier League in 2017/18.

“There is a critical moment in this club, not only with the departure of Sir Alex, but also with David Gill. David Moyes arrived, but when my Netflix documentary is released, history will be told,” he told him.

“I will arrive later, and when I arrive, I will arrive in a club that is still going through this period. We have won several things, we have finished second in the league. I always say that I do not understand the clubs which are punished with financial and remuneration fair (in cash).”

Mourinho added: “I think they should pay points. Manchester City was punished, and legally, we should have won the league. But that was not enough for stability, continuity.”

This is not the first time that Jose Mourinho has mentioned 115 charges

Last year, before the Fnerbahce Europa League conflict against Manchester United, Mourinho thought about his stay at Old Trafford when he seemed to refer to the possibility that the city was stripped of titles if they are guilty in its legal battle.

“As you know, we have won the Europa League, we finished second in the Premier League,” he said.

“I think we still have a chance to win this league because they may punish points with points, and maybe we win this league. Then they have to pay me the bonus and give me my medal.”
