Referring to the first weeks after his collapse, he said: “I was dying essentially. I was not contactable and I have no memories of that moment.”

He added: “I had the worst. I had to think, be positive and make patience with everything.”

The Swedish came by the Arsenal Academy and made an appearance for the Gunners before he decided to join FC Midtjylland after a successful loan spell in 2015.

Olsson was also in the stands when FC Midtjylland won the Danish championship on May 26, 2024.

In March 2025, the midfielder canceled his contract with FC Midtjylland after having slowly retaliated towards the training field, with the prospect of returning home to Sweden.

He then left FC Midtjylland to sign a new contract with his childhood club IK Slepner, playing their profession in the third Swedish level.

On Saturday, Kristofer Olsson then finished his long battle to return to the action when he started in a training match against Österåker United, where he scored a big goal after 14 minutes of play.

Olsson, who reached 43 selections for the Swedish national team, also played for Krasnodar and Anderlecht, in addition to playing 70 games for FC Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga.
