The future of Manchester United from Rasmus Hojlund focuses on waiting to move this summer.

He appeared during the pre-season tour in America, but Manchester United’s push for Benjamin Sesko is a clear signal that they prioritize a new scorer, even after bringing Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

Hojlund’s lack of final product has become an increasing concern and a new start far from the Premier League seems likely.

RB Leipzig is a possible destination, especially since Manchester United becomes serious to sign SESKO from the German club.

Inter Milan has always kept an eye on the situation. They made an approach earlier in the window on a loan, but Manchester United was not open to this at the time.

This position could soften if Hojlund remains on the books in the last section of the window. If so, expect more clubs to run. A decision would give Hojlund the platform to rediscover its form and rebuild trust.

Meanwhile, sources say that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, in fact prefers Ollie Watkins on Sesko.

He considers Watkins as a better adjustment for the system he builds – but the problem is the price.

Manchester United is not willing to pay more than 50 million pounds sterling for Watkins, and Aston Villa is not ready to reduce their requests. Unless the player himself forces a gesture – which did not happen – there is little room to work.

There was a strong expectation that Manchester United would at least try to conclude an agreement and some sources say they approached Villa this weekend.

But behind the scenes, the recruitment chief Christopher Vivell worked hard to convince decision -makers that SESKO is the best long -term option.

The age, increase and resale value are all part of the field. Vivell also argued that Sesko can become the type of attacker that corresponds to the tactical ideas of Amorim, even if there are still doubts about this.

There is no doubt that the data support Watkins – its production in the last two seasons has been consistent and impressive. Manchester United knows it was open to this decision.

Sesko also likes Manchester United, but this week is probably decisive. He must choose his move.

If Newcastle misses SESKO, it is not impossible that they then make their own movement for Watkins.
