Last season’s finalists, Manchester City, were drawn in group A alongside the Everton Female League and the second Nettingham Forest and Newcastle in the Women’s League Cup.

Manchester City was beaten 2-1 in the March final by Chelsea – who received a bye in the quarter -finals alongside Arsenal due to qualification in the Champions League.

Manchester United was also not included in the draw because they have to go through qualifying in the Champions League. If they fail to reach the group phase in Europe, there will be another draw to determine if they are put in group A or group B.

Group group matches will be underway on September 24/25.
