Ajax fought for a 2-0 victory against the promotion of Telstar, striker Wout Weghorst, paved the way with two goals.
With Brian Brobbey and Josip Sutalo injured, Wout Weghorst and Aaron Bouwman, 17, were given to the front and rear.
Raul Moro made his official debut for Ajax on the left wing, while Oscar Gloukh started on the bench. Defender Ko Itakura, who arrived from Borussia Monchengladbach earlier in the week, was not eligible while waiting for his work permit.

The long waiting of Ajax for the second goal ended in the 83rd minute while Steven Berghuis and Wout Weghorst connect again, this time in a corner, giving Ajax an advance of 2-0.
Without any other chance for both sides, Ajax won in the 2-0 victory while they were fighting for the victory in their first season game. The Giants of Amsterdam will visit Go Ahead Eagles in Deventter next week, when the kick -off is scheduled for 12:15 pm on Sunday, August 17.
Teltar continues its first Eredivisie season in almost 50 years with a home match against Pec Zwolle on Friday August 15.
