Liverpool vs Bournemouth: Antoine Semenyo reports racist abuses of the crowd

The Premier League opener between Liverpool and Bournemouth was arrested in the first half after the Cherries striker Antoine Semenyo, said he was racially mistreated by someone in the crowd.

Referee Anthony Taylor stopped playing in front of a Liverpool corner in the 29th minute before talking to the two managers on the key line.

The captains of Liverpool and Bournemouth Virgil Van Dijk and Adam Smith were then called on the benches to be informed before the match resumed.

An anti-discrimination message was read at the crowd inside Anfield once the half-time whistle had blew.

This comes after the Tottenham striker Mathys Tel, was the subject of racist mistreatment on social networks after being one of the two players of the Spurs to be missed during their defeat of the Super Cup shooting for Paris St-Germain on Wednesday.
