In the news of the female Super League, Manchester City announced earlier that she had signed the Laura Wienroin defender on a permanent agreement.
The International of Austria joins Arsenal, where she made 51 appearances, including four in her success of the League of Women’s Champions last quarter.
Wienroint spent the second half of 2024-25 on loan to City, making eight appearances, and has now signed a two-year contract.
“Laura is a very good friend of me. I am so happy that she stays here,” said Captain and Central Defender of Manchester City Athletics.
“For me, first and foremost, she is an incredible defender in a single-one. I think she is probably one of the best One-V-One defenders I went.
“One of the greatest compliments I can pay in Laura is that she is so positive all the time. She has a great vision of everything. She always wants to learn. She is just a big girl and a big team player. I am so happy that she will be part of this club for the future.”
