Alejandro Garnacho: Chelsea against costs of 40 million pounds sterling to sign the Manchester United winger

Chelsea agreed 40 million pounds sterling to sign the Manchester United striker Alejandro Garnacho.

The 21-year-old Argentinian international was invited to find a new club of head coach Ruben Amorim at the end of last season.

Sources from United say that Chelsea’s initial offer was 25 million pounds sterling, but Garnacho’s transfer – which includes a 10% sales clause – will now be the fourth ever -growing sale of the club after Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Angel Di Maria.

Chelsea will have spent more than 500 million pounds sterling, including additional clauses, on wingers in just over three years since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital bought the club.

It will be more than 650 million pounds sterling with strikers included – again with additional modules – but there have been sales of significant locations, with Chelsea likely to fully balance the books this summer during departures.

Sales will have contributed to more than 200 million pounds sterling out of five attackers.

Garnacho had interviews with Chelsea in January when his priority became a move to Stamford Bridge and United originally wanted 60 million pounds sterling for him.

As a local player, after joining the United youth system of Atletico Madrid at the age of 16 in 2020, the costs will also be important to respect the rules of profit and sustainability of the Premier League (PSR).

The Old Trafford Club has already spent 200 million pounds sterling on a new line before Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Garnacho’s latest competition match for United was May Ligue’s May’s final – after which he questioned Amorim’s decision not to start it in 1-0 defeat by Tottenham.

Although he did the club’s post-season tour in Asia, he was not selected for the three-game summer trip to the United States.

Garnacho was ordered to train at various times from the Amorim team, as well as other parias Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford, who later joined Barcelona on loan.

Asked about the player of the player in Chicago, the boss Amorim said “sometimes things don’t work”.
