Real Madrid would have asked the Liga to postpone their opening match of the season until October.
Cadena ser and as a report, the club had discussions with Osasuna opponents, as well as the Spanish football federation, in order to postpone the match after Madrid reached the semi-finals of the club World Cup.
If the Liga refuses the request, Madrid is likely to be based on the competition committee.

The match was initially scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, the last match of the first day, but Madrid says who does not give their players the compulsory three-week break written in the rules of the league as well as three weeks of pre-season.

The players’ union, the AFE, also wrote to La Liga to offer their support.
Madrid, who will face Paris Saint-Germain in New York on Wednesday evening, asked for a new date of October 29. This week is currently scheduled for the Copa del Rey, but Madrid does not enter the competition before a later stage. Osasuna must however play, so a new date will have to be found for their match.
Burn-out players have been a hot topic in recent weeks after FIFA has chosen to extend the club World Cup to 32 teams, which means that several leading players are now exposed to a relentless calendar that started with last summer in Europe and South America and will continue to last year.
Madrid has received the support of an unlikely source with Barcelona Raphinha’s winger admitting that players are never consulted about the calendar.
The Brazilian international, whose team is not involved this summer, but will probably play in the future club cups of clubs, said: “You have to go, point, because we follow the orders; We have to be there playing. And, as a player of a European club, abandoning my vacation to play in a new tournament is very complicated.

Manchester City’s boss Pep Guardiola, whose team lost in the round of 16 against al-Hilal, expressed his concern that the effects of this summer efforts will not be felt before winter.
