Manchester United continued Bryan Mbeumo all summer after the reports they had agreed with the versatile striker from Brentford last month.
Mbeumo was vital for bees last season, marking 20 times when he came out of the shadow of Ivan Toney to become the main attacking force of the club. Cameroon International also provided seven assists for the holding of western London and the interest in its services during the summer would always be high.
United acted quickly to roll the ball for Mbeumo, whose preference is a switch to Old Trafford if he leaves Brentford this summer. However, United has not yet agreed for the player, after seeing two offers for the 25 -year -old pushed by Brentford.
Brentford slapped a price of 65 million pounds sterling on Mbeumo, which was also linked to a move to Tottenham after their appointment of Thomas Frank. Frank left for the Tottenham Hostpur stadium last month after the Spurs relieved Angel Postocoglou despite their triumph of the Europa League.

Delayed Andrews appointment
The decision to appoint Andrews as a chief coach delayed the agreement that would have taken Mbeumo and United.

United considered that they were close to a breakthrough in negotiations with Brentford, but Andrews’ appointment threw a current key, according to News from Manchester’s Self –.
The Ruben Amorim team remains in Mbeumo and hopes to sign the striker before traveling to the United States for their pre-season tour next week.

Brentford Supremo indicates forward can stay
Brentford, on the other hand, will only engage in transfer transactions if she benefits the club, according to the director of football of the club, Phil Giles.

“We have clarified our point of view. If Bryan has won a massive movement now and that was well financially, we would be open,” said Giles.
Giles also suggested that the door was open for Mbeumo to stay in the west of London, adding: “But if he found himself here with us next season, I would not be massively surprised. We would be delighted. And that would make me a massive headache, frankly.”
