AC Milan Lodge Offer for Joe Gomez from Liverpool

With the end of the transfer window in sight, one of Liverpool’s long -standing players could be in motion. Several sources have indicated that AC Milan had submitted an offer for the versatile defender Joe Gomez. Liverpool and Joe Gomez would both be under discussion for a permanent agreement.

Liverpool had previously declared that they would like to keep Gomez, who served as a depth both mainly in the rear center and the right back, but even sometimes filled on the left and holding the midfield. Gomez dealt with a plethora of injury problems during his career which prevented him from nailing a regular starting place, but he entered a starting role for important sections when Trent Alexander-Arnold or Ibrahima Konaté was injured.

Liverpool is rebuilding their defensive unit, bringing the start of the starting caliber Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, and also signed a talented young center in Giovanni Leoni to replace the deceased Jarell Quansah. The Reds are also in negotiations for Marc Guehi and are about to nail the agreement. Crystal Palace would have prompted to have asked as a Gomez on loan such as makeup for Guehi, but Liverpool was not interested in allowing Gomez to go on loan.

The Reds, however, are apparently open to a permanent agreement for Gomez, AC Milan launching an offer with only a day and a half in the transfer window. Italian giants initially tried to sign Manuel Akanji to strengthen their defensive unit, but they were refused by the player who said he wanted football in the Champions League. They have now turned their attention to Gomez in an agreement that would be between 8 and 11 million pounds sterling. It is said that Gomez is open to the move, but no agreement is yet in place between the AC Milan player. Salaries are generally a point of snack when continental clubs arrive for premier league players, but a chance to be a regular starter is probably very attractive for Gomez. From Liverpool’s point of view, any agreement to an agreement to allow Gomez to leave would depend on Marc Guehi entering.
