Alexander Isak Transfer: the Swedish striker says that Newcastle has “broken the promises”

It remains a big “if”, of course.

Howe was consistent in his mailbox throughout this saga: the door remains open to Isak.

But Newcastle head coach stressed what will then happen is the attacker, who continues to train far from the group.

He certainly felt a long way for Isak on Saturday after the external end called the Swedish “gourmet” after the draw against Aston Villa.

However, time is against Isak if he wants to go to Liverpool, especially when there are few realistic options on the market that would be able to intensify for Newcastle.

Omar Chaudhuri, the director of intelligence of Twenty First Group, who previously worked with clubs like Newcastle and Tottenham, noticed a “greater interest in high -level strikers” compared to past years.

“Globally, seven central attackers were moving for 50 M euros or more this window, against two in 2024, six in 2023 and five in 2022,” he said.

“But clubs should probably temper expectations about their impact. Of the 19 attackers signed by Premier League clubs for 50 million euros or more before this season, perhaps only Haaland and Isak can be considered without reservation.”

No wonder Howe has argued that the door is open.

Trying, in a way, reintegrating Isak can still prove one of Newcastle’s best options – and that said something.
