Bukayo Saka: Arsenal Forward should miss up to four weeks

Bukayo Saka is expected to miss the Arsenal match in Liverpool on Sunday as well as the playoffs of the England World Cup against Andorra and Serbia next month.

The 23-year-old was injured in the hamstrings during the home victory on Saturday against Leeds United and it is estimated that the attacker will not be available up to four weeks.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is doubtful for the match in Anfield due to a shoulder injury suffered in the victory against Leeds.

Odegaard looked in pain when he was replaced in the first half of the 5-0 victory and the former Real Madrid attacking midfielder would have left Emirates Stadium with his shoulder in a scarf.

The Norway playmaker has not yet been excluded from the match against the Premier League champions and there is an optimism at Arsenal that neither the 26 years nor Saka will make long -term victims.

There is a particular relief concerning Saka, which missed three months from last season with an injury to the hamstrings.

Arsenal, however, has a much deeper basin of attack talents this season, after having signed Viktor Gykerres, Noni Madueke and Ebechi Eze this summer.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta also has Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman to mitigate the absences of Saka and Odegaard.
