Chelsea concluded an agreement with Manchester United for the signing of Alejandro Garnacho.
The agreement consists of a fixed fee of 40 million pounds sterling and a selling clause of 10% is also included in the package.
Garnacho is expected to sign a contract until 2032 and should undergo medical on Friday before the proposed move.
Athletics reported on August 7 that Chelsea had intensified talks with Manchester United for a move for Garnacho after the clubs were in contact with the winger for some time.
The 21 -year -old had excluded all the options this summer, in addition to joining Chelsea and staying in United.
Athletics Reported in June that Garnacho was one of the five United Players authorized to return to pre-season training late after reporting in May that United coach Ruben Amorim said at 21 in front of his teammates, to find a new club.
Chelsea aroused a long -standing interest in Garnacho and he would be the second winger united in as many campaigns to join Chelsea after Jadon Sancho moved to Stamford Bridge on loan last season.
Amorim and Garnacho sometimes had a turbulent relationship. The comment of the “new club” followed the final defeat of United Europa League against Tottenham Hotspur, where the Argentinian international was presented as a substitute of 71st minute.
After the final, Garnacho said that he “would see what would happen” after a summer break and expressed his frustrations not to play a bigger role in the final.
“Until the final, I played every turn, and today to play 20 minutes … I don’t know,” he said.
United rejected an approach to Napoli for Garnacho in January and although he stayed at Old Trafford, his reaction to his substitution against Ipswich Town the following month prompted Amorim to reveal that the attacker had to pay for a team dinner by means of apology.
He made 58 appearances in all competitions and provided 11 goals and 10 assists, but it was in the midst of long -term absences for Mason Mount, Joshua Zirkzee and Amad, while Marcus Rashford and Antony both left United on loan agreements in the January transfer window without replacement.
Garnacho joined the Academy of United Atletico Madrid in October 2020 and made 144 senior appearances for the club, scoring 26 goals.

Garnacho’s move to Chelsea was a telegraphy all summer. The player told friends at the end of last season that his desire was to move to London and that Stamford Bridge would be his ideal destination. This targeted ambition has embarrassed United’s negotiation position, just like Ruben Amorim saying to Guarantor in front of his teammates he would need to find a need club.
Some clubs were initially informed of a requested price of 70 million pounds sterling, but this reduced to 60 million pounds sterling and when the talks with Chelsea started in United for 50 million pounds sterling. In the end, the two clubs met in the middle for the 21 -year -old, United obtaining a guarantee of 40 million pounds sterling plus a sale of 10%, which seems plausible to be triggered if Chelsea continues as they did.
The sale marks the largest for a graduate of the United Academy and the fourth greatest in the history of United after Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Angel Di Maria. But it will always seem lower than many fans would consider its value.
His departure will also be tinged with sadness for many, taking into account his role in the winning team of the FA Youth Cup of United in 2022, his explosive whim at Goodison Park, and his goal in the final victory of the FA Cup against Manchester City in 2024.
