We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and professional Customer Care Consultant to join our team. This is a full-time, work-from-home position, ideal for someone with excellent phone manner and experience in funeral arranging. You will be the first point of contact for families and individuals, providing support and guidance with sensitivity and care.
This role requires flexibility, including weekend working and out-of-hours availability, to ensure we can provide support whenever it is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and handle inbound calls from clients arranging cremations or enquiring about prepaid funeral plans
- Input data from website enquiries and phone orders into the CRM system
- Arrange direct cremations and take funeral plan orders over the phone
- Answer enquiries via phone and email with empathy and professionalism
- Take payments and set up direct debits over the phone
- Liaise with funeral directors, doctors, crematoriums, trade partners, and logistics teams
- Perform general administration of ongoing orders
- Complete regulatory ongoing training as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a funeral arranger is desirable
- Excellent phone manner: calm, compassionate, and professional
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
- Confident using computer systems; all work is online
- Good Wi-Fi connection (internet-based phone system)
- Smartphone for phone system app during on-call shifts
- Quiet, dedicated home office space
- Ability to work full-time hours from home
Equipment Provided:
Laptop and headset.
Full training on systems and procedures.
Schedule:
5 working days per week, 1 of which will be a weekend day
Hours: 9am – 6pm (8 hours + 1 hour lunch)
3 on-call shifts per week required between 6pm – 8am (additional supplement paid)
