Aik gives himself the head to protect with Win Over Paide in the conference league

AIK gave itself a healthy advantage after the first stage of their second round equality of the UEFA conference league (UECL) against Paide Linnameeskond of Estonia, winning 2-0 in Tallinn.

Third in the 2024 Allsvenskan, AIK began its European campaign at this UECL stage, while Paide had won a global victory of 7-3 against the Magpies of Gibraltar in the first qualification round.

The Solna team did not take long to get into the competition – just seven minutes, Johan Hove’s cross was guided at the back of the net by the head of Bersant Celina.

Celina had another effort to the goal shortly after, what goalkeeper Ebrima Jarju was equal, but all hope that the Swedish team had the opening of the valves did not manage to materialize. The only other shot on the target before half-time came from Paide Pa Corr, who forced a backup of Kristofer Nordfeldt.

The teams exchanged chances at the start of the second half, Paide continuing to threaten by Daniel Luts and Henrik Ojamaa, but it was the Gracset who finally found the second goal with a quarter of the match.

Taha Ayari had possession inside the area but was largely forced, and from the left, played the ball at Aron Csongvai, who had time and space to release a low strike in the corner of less than 25 meters.

This goal knocked out the farce of the Estonian team, which did not generate another clear opportunity to reduce the deficit, and asked Jarju to thank for having kept them in the tie, because he denied Celina and Dino Besirovic was time.

Aik therefore had to be satisfied with an advantage of two goals to bring back to Strawberry Arena for the return match next Thursday.
