Liverpool fans are shocked after seeing how much the club will pay for the new striker Hugo Ekitike.
After a turbulent week involving links with Newcastle United star, Alexander Isak and Eintracht Francfurt, it seems that Liverpool finally obtained their new striker.
Isak would have been the signing of Arne Slot’s dream this summer, but, despite world record fees in the region of 120 million pounds Sterling, Newcastle seems to have been firm after saying that he was not on sale.
Consequently, the Reds turned their attention to Ekitike, who drew the attention of several of the largest clubs in England, including Manchester United and Newcastle.

Earlier in the window, Newcastle saw an offer of 70 million pounds sterling for Ekitike decline while Frankfurt thought that another club would respect their evaluation of 85 million pounds Sterling.
A few days later, Liverpool saw its first offer for the French accepted by the German club, with the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano Confirming that Reds could pay up to 95 million euros (82.5 million pounds sterling).

The 23 -year -old would have signed a six -year contract for Ekitike, keeping him at the club until June 2031, after having clearly indicated that he only wanted to join Liverpool despite the interest of other clubs.
A previous report, Sky Sports said Reds will pay fixed costs of 69 million pounds sterling, with additional modules and bonuses, which could reach 78 million pounds sterling (90 million euros).
But despite the fact that they finally signed a new striker, some fans were not satisfied with the price that Liverpool plays, because they went to social networks to make their feelings known.

Commenting on Romano’s post on Instagram, a fan wrote: “This transfer window has so many dubious prices wtf.”
While another said: “95 mil is too much for that.”
And one said: “I am not confident about this offer because I do not think that the player was worth the amount paid to sign it. Although I had hoped that we would sign Isak, I trust the team and the coach, and we will see if he is the attacker we really need.”
