Michelle Agyemang, who took on glory while England retained female euros last month, joined Brighton on loan from Arsenal.
Agyemang, 19, had a huge impact as a substitute for lionesses in Switzerland, marking vital late equalizations against Sweden and Italy in the stadiums with direct elimination.
However, it was still faced with a strong competition for playing time at the European Champions Arsenal, which have International England Alessia Russo and Beth Mead among their attack options.
Arsenal also spent a world record of 1 million pounds sterling for a player to sign the Canadian striker Olivia Smith from Liverpool last month.
AGYEMANG scored five goals in 22 loan appearances for Brighton last season when they finished fifth in the female Super League.
“We are delighted to welcome Michelle for another season. We loved working with her last year and see how much she progressed as part of the team”, “ said Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic.
“What she achieved during the summer with England was incredible but not surprising. She has the character, the work ethics and the implacable nature of a champion.”
The new WSL season begins on September 5.
