How much Man UTD will save on their salary bill with Marcus Rashford to complete the dream move to Barcelona

Manchester United will save a significant amount on their wage bill this season after Barcelona has agreed to pay the whole salary of Marcus Rashford in the context of his proposed transfer.

Rashford, who has another three years on his £ 300,000 contract per week in United, is about to finish a dream move to Barça after an agreement in principle was concluded between the two clubs on Saturday.

The 27 -year -old attacker will join the Liga champions on a loan of a season, but Barcelona will have the opportunity to buy Rashford for not disclosed costs at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, according to Time.

It also appeared that the Catalan giants will pay all the salaries of Rashford during the loan – a decision which will be welcomed by the co -owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

In fact, while the Premier League club continues to try to save money, the departure of Rashford should shave around 17 million pounds sterling from the United Walax while Ruben Amorim continues to rebuild.

Rashford spent the second half of last season in Aston Villa, but the club decided not to trigger an option clause to buy of 40 million pounds sterling. The striker was not lively because he wanted football in the Champions League.

The boss of Barça Hansi Flick, on the other hand, has already spoken personally to Rashford of a decision.

Reports in Spain said that the Spanish club preferred to sign Liverpool’s winger Luis Diaz, although the recent rejection of the Reds of an offer of 58 million pounds sterling from Bayern Munich could force their hand.
