Liverpool can have an advantage that could conclude an agreement for the Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
Isak, 25, is currently linked to Liverpool, having impressed by 27 goals and six assists in 42 appearances for Newcastle United during the 2024/25 campaign – including a strike in the Magpies 2-1 victory against the Reds in the Carabao Cup final.
Tuesday, AthleticsDavid Ornstein reported that Liverpool had made an approach to sign Isak, although no official offer was presented at this time.
The piece suggests that although Newcastle’s position is that Isak is not for sale, they appreciate the Swedish international to be worth around 120 million pounds sterling.

On Wednesday, athletics then reported that the Reds had contacted the Bundesliga side on a possible decision for the French after the Magpies previously chained 64.9 million pounds Sterling, which was rejected by the German outfit.

Lynch said: “Another thing I would say that it is worth the underlying this process is that Richard Hughes and Eddie Howe are longtime friends.
“In this spirit, and it is something that underlines to me by a source, Richard Hughes is surely not entering this blind situation, believing that Newcastle will simply reject this, I think that it must have a stealthy hint that there is a possibility that Liverpool does a matter here.”
The legend of Liverpool warns the side of Arne
Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge issued a warning to his childhood club, saying that they “did not need another saga with a player’s contract”.
Announcement
“Liverpool has thought of doing the central position in front,” said Aldridge AIM.
“If the club will replace Darwin Nunez, who will they bring?” Will Florian Wirtz play like a fake new? For me, Alexander Isak is the player at the head of everyone and would be the perfect addition in advance.
“It would be a superb signature, but I cannot see Newcastle let him go, and if they did it, it would be for enormous costs. I don’t know what club plans are, but they have to get something sorted before the start of the season.
“Liverpool cannot allow the Luiz Diaz contract to relax and that he leaves for free -” no player is greater than the club “as they say. There is so much to be Liverpool at the moment; they do not need another saga with a player’s contract – we have all seen what happened with Trent Alexander -Arnold. If it was for me, I want a new contract.”
