Although he is only 22, Guerra already has experienced experiences at a high level. The Spanish star made 82 liga appearances, playing in 36 championship games for Valence last season. Guerra is a central midfielder, and he played a crucial role under Carlos Corberan last season when Valencia passed pretenders to relegation to mid-table safety.

Christian Eriksen left the club earlier in the summer after the expiration of his contract, so United is already a body short from the park. Casemiro also reaches these last stages of his career and, therefore, the Red Devils clearly seek to bring a younger profile in the midfield.

If United can secure Guerra for costs that are significantly lower than its release clause, this could be an intelligent addition to the Amorim team, given the impact he already has at his age, with the potential to grow in the future.
