Az Alkmaar signed the 21 -year -old Danish international winger under 21, Isak Jensen, of Viborg FF in a five -year contract.
The Danish international U21, who scored 18 goals and collected five assists in 60 appearances for Viborg, should fill the gap left by Ruben Van Bommel and Jayden Addai, who left the Dutch club.
Isak Jensen, 21, joined Viborg FF in the summer of 2023 in a loan agreement from St. Louis City, which was then transformed into a permanent contract the following year.
Viborg sports director, Mads Agesen, says:
“When we brought Isak back to the Maison du United States, it was with a common ambition that he had to become a profile for Viborg FF and then be sold again for an international club, and we are now succeeding in this cooperation plan.”
“Isak has done a fantastic job for us, and we were satisfied with his contribution, so of course, it is also a shame in the short term that we lose a talented player, but at the same time, we are also proud to develop players for a club like AZ.”
Jensen, who was one of the profiles of the Danish International Team of the European Championships under 21, is delighted to have the chance to shine in Aalkmaar.
“It is an excellent opportunity for me to move to AZ, I am very motivated, and at the same time I am happy that it is also a good deal for Viborg. This is what can be called a success for both parties, and it was also important for me. So thank you for everything for everyone in and around Viborg,” says Isak Jensen.
