First Chelsea offers “rejection” from Ajax, for Jorrel Hato,

According to Dutch sources, Ajax rejected the first Chelsea offer for the 19-year-old defender Jorrel Hato and sent to the London club a counter-offer.

Espn reported Thursday that Ajax respects Jorrel Hato’s desire to leave, but also wishes to keep the young defender while the Amsterdam club is heading for his first campaign of the UEFA Champions League since 2022.

A first offer from Chelsea, according to the rumor would be 40 million euros, while the blues follow the reference established by the former defender of Ajax Jurrien Timber, who acquired for this exact price, was rejected by Ajax, who would like to receive between € 55 and 60 million euros for Hato.

Hato himself has already concluded a personal agreement with Chelsea. Hato agent Humphry Nijman confirmed that Chelsea is in talks with Ajax on a transfer for the young person.

Hato, 19, made his debut for Ajax in 2023 at the age of 16 and became the youngest player in club history to record 100 appearances for the club.

Hato is under contract in Ajax until the summer for 2028.
