Real Oviedo vs Real Madrid: Overview, predictions and alignments

Real Madrid is ready for a Liga fight with Real Oviedo for the first time in 24 years after the promotion of the latter in the Spanish High-Vol.

Unlike last season, Los Blancos began his league campaign with three points. The 1-0 victory of the club on Osasuna was comfortable but dull, with the new look of Xabi Alonso, the Real Madrid of Xabi Alonso always finding their identity.

Five days later, they left the Spanish capital to face the real Oviedo. The men of Veljko Paunović underwent a 2-0 defeat against Villarreal in their return to the Spanish High and are now for a much more important test against the Liga finalists.

The two clubs will meet three points on the line for the first time since 2001, both wishing to make a declaration under the lights at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere.

The injured Álvaro Lemos, Lucas Ahijado and Jaime Vázquez will all miss the confrontation with Real Madrid. Brandon Domingues is not in the Paunović team due to a disease.

The hosts will also be without Alberto Reina after the Spaniard was sent just 27 minutes from the opening of his team Liga on Friday.

The good news is that Colombatto is available available after missing the entire pre-season of Real Oviedo, as well as the match against Villarreal. Although it is unlikely that the midfielder starts, he could be precious minutes from the bench.

Rodgrygo

Real Madrid is still without injured Jude Bellingham, Ferland Mendy, Eduardo Camavong and Endrick. The absence of England International was particularly obvious to Los Blancos in their first Liga match while they were fighting to create opportunities for goals from open play.

Alonso could give the head of the 18 -year -old Franco Mastanuono to give Real Madrid a n ° 10 or a new face on the right wing, but the manager will probably remain with Brahim Díaz while the future of Roddrygo remains uncertain.

The new boss will also have Antonio Rüdiger available for the selection now that the central back has served his six game ban. EDER Militão still remains the precursor to obtain the head sign alongside Dean Huijsen, however.

The predicted programming of Real Madrid against the real Oviedo (4-3-3): Courteous; Alexander-Arnold, Militão, Huijsen, Carreras; Valverde, tchouameni, güler; Díaz, Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior

Not only does Real Madrid have the advantage over Real Oviedo at each position, but they will also be impatient to achieve a more convincing performance than their Liga opener. It is difficult to imagine that Mbappé or Vinícius Júnior find it difficult to find the back of the net against the newly promoted team.

In addition, Alonso’s men looked defensively sound the last time with the return of Militão and the additions of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Huijsen and Álvaro Carreras. Thibaut Courtois will not have much to do on Sunday if his back line appears again and shows up.

Prediction: Real Oviedo 0–3 Real Madrid
