Rio NGUMOHA renounces himself to achieve the feat Steven Gerrard never managed to Liverpool

The young Liverpool star, Rio Ngumoha, supported herself to achieve a feat that Steven Gerrard never succeeded in England.

After spending time at the Chelsea Academy, Ngumoha joined the Reds last summer.

The 16 -year -old was called for the first Liverpool team for the first time in December 2024, when he was appointed to the bench for equality of the EFL Cup against Southampton.

Because of his age, Ngumoha is forbidden to use the same locker room as the players of the first team team, but, given the impression that he did, he did not have to wait a long time to make his debut, from the victory of the third tower of the FA Cup of January against accrington Stanley.

In doing so, he entered the story by becoming the youngest player to start a first team match for Liverpool.

And NGUMOHA does not lack confidence when it comes to discussing what it believes to be able to achieve in the game.

Speaking on an episode of Inside the academy At the end of last year, Ngumoha said: “I really think I can win the Ballon d’Or one day.

“I want to be considered one of the best players to play football and be a legend of the game.

“The love of football started when I was four or five years old. I looked at my brother and wanted to be like him.

“I was going to academies from a young age and it was a great thing when so many clubs wanted to sign me.

“I learned that you have to be resilient and believe in you.

“You can have some bad games but you must have this conviction that you are the best. For me, if I am in bad shape, I put it behind me and I work hard.”

If Ngumoha won the Ballon d’Or, he would become the first Liverpool player to do so since Michael Owen in 2001.

How excited Liverpool fans are about Rio Ngumoha?

Many Liverpool supporters are already excited by Ngumoha, in particular on Reddit.

@ Thatoe_268 wrote: “Certainly one to watch. Absolutely incredible in recent games.”

@Definilynotbarney added: “I refuse to get ahead of him and let him develop. I can’t wait for him to win 30g and 30a in 2028/29.”

A reader suggested that he should be the sixth attacker in the context of a rotation among Liverpool attackers this year.

But @BrIastormirl was not convinced by this suggestion.

“I’m not sure he is still ready for this physically,” he said.

“He is only 16 years old and has a lot of filling to do before wanting to count on him.

“It’s something in the eye but can see him are thrown a lot today.

“Can see him continue to train with the first team this year, can be used in an emergency, but an accent on the development of his physique to be loaned and then next season.”
