After more than a year of rumors, the former Liverpool star, Trent Alexander-Arnold, left his childhood club controversial to join the Giants of La Liga Real Madrid at the end of the 2024/25 season.
In order to guarantee its services before the Club World Cup, Real Madrid paid costs of 10 million pounds sterling for the defender, although he agreed to join as a free agent after his Liverpool contract expired at the end of June.
Since the conclusion of a highly profitable agreement for Alexander-Arnold, it has been reported that Real Madrid will now have signature players who are available as free agents their transfer policy in the future.
In doing so, the Spanish part has put clubs around the world in notice, many of which plan to sell key players this summer to avoid losing them for free if Madrid was hitting next year.

Of course, after having crossed the whole saga surrounding the future of Alexander-Arnold, no club would no longer be frustrated to lose a player against Real Madrid as free as Liverpool.
But it seems that it could be a real possibility, as a report by Spanish Outlet Brand revealed that Ibrahima Konate wishes to follow his former teammate in Madrid next summer.
However, Liverpool would be well aware of this and they are categorical that this will not happen, which means that they would be open to the sale of their key defender this summer if he does not accept a new contract.
The report says Konate told Liverpool that he would be willing to leave the club this summer, but only if his possible destination was Real Madrid.

Although it remains Liverpool’s preference to link Konate to a new agreement before the expiration in June of next year, the fact that the French would have refused two proposals suggests that he has the heart that lasted the move to the Bernabeu.
If Liverpool wants to sell Konate this summer, it seems that the defender of Crystal Palace Marc Guehi is their favorite replacement, with several reports connecting the Reds with the international in England.
