Wolverhampton Wanderers paid tribute to the Portuguese striker Diogo Jota by integrating him into the club’s renown temple after being killed in a car accident earlier this month.
Jota helped Wolves get a premier League promotion in 2018 before joining Liverpool in 2020.
“Diogo was not only a phenomenal footballer, but someone who fell with humility and kindness throughout his stay in Wolves, and we will miss all of us”, “ Wolves football director Matt Wild said in a statement on Thursday.
Billy Wright, Derek Dougan and Steve Bull are among those already inducted into the club’s renown temple, which was created in 2008.
