Manchester United’s renovated training base offers intelligent urinals that measure a player’s hydration level, dry flotation tanks, a submarine treadmill, a short padel, a formula 1 simulator and even a hair salon.
United opened the doors on Friday at their redevelopment of 50 million pounds ($ 67.22 million) on their first male construction team at the Carrington Training Complex, a week before the kick -off of the Premier League season.
Redesigned by the contributions of players and staff, with ideas borrowed from the Los Angeles Rams of the NFL and the basis of the England team in St. George’s Park, among others, the Ultramodern training center opened its doors when manager Ruben Amorim and his team returned after their pre-season tour of the United States.

Ratcliffe cut the ribbon to open the center on Friday alongside the players, Amorim, the chief executive Omar Berrada, the former manager of the Alex Ferguson team and others.
The one -year project was led by the architect of Mancunian Norman Foster and his firm Foster + Partners and funded by part of the capital injection of 300 million pounds (403.47 million dollars) in the club by the United Co -owner, Ratcliffe last year.
“Following an examination of the installation, we made a quick decision to invest considerably in the creation of a world -class performance environment so that the staff and the players reflect our ambition and our vision of Manchester United”, “ said Ratcliffe, who reached an agreement to become a co -owner at the end of 2023.
Collette Roche, which led the Carrington redevelopment project, said that Ratcliffe was strongly involved in the process, helping to decide everything, from the number of windows to the fabric of furniture.

The installation is bathed in natural light in order to create a positive environment, with everything that players and staff need under one roof.
The medical and recovery installations have an MRI and a CT scan, a dexa scan that measures everything, from body fat to bone density, sleep pods, a heat and altitude chamber used for acclimatization at different temperatures, humidity and oxygen levels and hyperbarical and cryotherapy chambers.
The playing lounge has floors from floor to ceiling, a billiard table and the F1 simulator. On Friday, on the menu, there was everything, from grilled salmon to sushi via smoothie bowls.
“We have a nucleus of Bruno (Fernandes), Harry (Maguire), Tom (Heaton), Diogo, and I just asked what they wanted. And they gave me excellent ideas,” said Roche.
“(We asked) when is it performance? When do you need to relax? What is the best nutrition? How do they want to eat?”
The redevelopment of the male team building follows the construction of a building of 10 million pounds ($ 13.44 million) for the first female team and male academy in 2024.
