FC Utrecht Open Europa League season with a strong victory over the Tiraspol sheriff
Dutch Eredivisie Side FC Utrecht launched his qualification campaign of the UEFA Europa League with a convincing victory on the sheriff of the Moldavian giants Tiraspol, beating the local team 3-1 in the city of Nisporeni.
Fueling a largely unchanged side of last season, the director of FC Utrecht, Ron Jans, presented to Feyenoord Loreee Gjivai Zechiel, his full start in the game outside the Tiraspol sheriff, which was played in the city of Moldavane of West, by the Dutch government.
Meanwhile, the Tiraspol sheriff, whose Moldavian Super Liga season already has five rounds, started Mauritanian winger Papa Yade ahead of Alesio Mija, who had received the head of Yade at 0-0 last weekend in Petrocub.
After eliminating Kosovo Prishtina in the previous round, the Tiraspol sheriff took a flying start in Nisporeni when Papa Yade had the first great chance of the game before Peter Ademo got deadl after 24 minutes, taking advantage of a long perfectly executed return.
FC Utrecht, which qualified for the second round of the Europa League qualification phase by finishing fourth in Dutch Eredivisia, replied less than ten minutes later via Victor Jensen, who stole a corner of Suffian El Karouani at home and put his team along the Sheriff.
The sheriff had the upper hand in the first half, but gave himself a mountain to climb after the break when the captain of FC Utrecht Nick Virgin rushed the ball in the upper corner of another corner of El Karouani, by putting Utrecht in the 54th minute.
Papa Yade deserved another chance in the 68th minute, but could not dismiss the sheriff in a 2-2 draw after having disappeared for an open goal. Instead, Yade saw the Englishman Adrian Blake put Utrecht 3-1 after a solo effort was found in the corner furthest from the goal of Ivan Dyulgerov.
A special evening has become even more special for Jaygo Van Omeren of origin in 2008, which replaced the midfielder Alonzo Engwanda in the 80th minute for his official debut for FC Utrecht. Previously, Van Mommeren had only played eight minutes for Jong Fc Utrecht in the Dutch second division.
The Moldovan Champions of 20 times have not offered anything in return in the last 20 minutes and will have to fill the gap of two goals in Utrecht if they want to maintain their European campaign alive. The return will be played on Thursday, July 31, in the FC Utrecht stadion, Galgenwaard.
