Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of care plans and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. A driving licence is a must to facilitate travel between clients. Experience with PEG feed , a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support.
• Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Drive to clients’ locations as needed, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in home care practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is beneficial.
• A valid driving licence is required to facilitate travel between client locations.
