Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Worker with DRIVING LICENCE to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves supporting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will be the friendly face and reliable support system for those in need of assistance, fostering a positive environment that enhances their quality of life. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of your clients every day.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote dignity and independence
- Help with medication administration according to care plans to ensure safety and adherence
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support clients with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment
- Monitor and report on clients’ health status, behavior changes, or concerns to the care team promptly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Drive clients safely to appointments, social activities, or errands as needed, ensuring timely transportation
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, senior care, and behavior management techniques
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred
- Full UK driving license with a clean driving record for transportation duties
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely when assisting with mobility or household tasks
- Strong communication skills with a caring attitude towards clients of all ages, including children if applicable
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as required
