Communications Assistant Apprentice

Our services change Mid Sussex residents’ lives. This is why clear and consistent communication is vital – to help them understand what we do and how to engage with us.

Do you want to be at the heart of this?  We have an exciting apprentice opportunity within our Communications Team.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to launch a career in communications, or someone seeking to transition from a non-communications background, or make a career change. You’ll develop the skills to become an independent thinker and creator of impactful communications, while building strong foundations for a career in strategic communications.

You could join us as a Level 4 Communications Assistant Apprentice, where you will help develop our channels, create engaging content, support media monitoring, and collaborate on external campaigns; ensuring our colleagues and residents are kept up to date with all that we do.

Award-winning apprenticeship learning

With learning provided by the acclaimed Cambridge Marketing College (CMC), as an Apprentice you will build on your existing skills and develop new specialist communication and media skills through the duration of the programme, while achieving a career-enhancing qualification.

Read the Communications Assistant Apprentice role profile for more information. This is a Level 4 Apprentice, salary £25,117.92.

Additional detail is also available through CMC’s assessment partner, 1stAwarding.

You will be part of a small team, alongside Communications Officers, and a Visual Content Officer. We operate hybrid working, with a minimum of two days a week in the office. Studying is remote, 6-hours a week, included in your working hours.
