One YMCA is looking for a compassionate, organised, and proactive Hostel Support & Administration Assistant to join our Supported Housing team. Based within a 40-bed temporary accommodation hostel, you will support residents with a range of complex needs while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and professional front-of-house service.
- Carry out resident welfare checks and offer practical support.
- Assist residents with correspondence, benefit applications, and accessing services.
- Provide administrative support, maintain accurate records, and update case notes.
- Welcome and coordinate visiting professionals, agencies, and contractors.
- Help maintain a safe, secure, and supportive hostel environment.
- Work closely with the Complex Needs Worker and wider team to support positive outcomes for residents.

This is a Part Time role.
Hours per week: 32
Working Pattern: 12hrs shift on Sat & Sun and 8hrs shift Monday (alternating 8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm for Monday shift
One YMCA and its subsidiaries, the Early Childhood Partnership (ECP) and Signpost are on an exciting journey to double our impact by 2025. - Family support through a network of children’s and family centres covering Hertfordshire and Bedford
- Therapeutic and non-therapeutic support for male and female victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Independent sexual violence services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Hertfordshire
- Domestic abuse perpetrator reform programmes across Bedfordshire
- Youth services offering emotional wellbeing support and youth club opportunities for 11-19 year olds alongside our National Airplay programme funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund
