Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within City Health Care Partnership’s Programme Management Office (PMO) for a Project Manager to join our Corporate Development team.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead and support a diverse range of service improvement, organisational change and transformation projects that make a real difference to the services we provide. Working with clinical, operational and corporate colleagues, you will help plan, coordinate and deliver projects, supporting service teams to develop and implement sustainable improvements.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a proactive and collaborative individual with experience of project delivery, stakeholder engagement and supporting change. You will be an excellent communicator, able to organise and coordinate complex activities, analyse information, facilitate discussions and support effective project delivery through robust planning, governance and reporting.

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent qualification or working towards in relevant topic
  • Relevant project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation) or equivalent practical experience supporting project delivery

Knowledge

Essential

  • Advance level of knowledge of current practices within healthcare.
  • Experience of and high degree of skills in supporting service development, project delivery and change or improvement initiatives within health and care, community or public sector
  • Understanding of health policy and social care policy and the drivers of policy change within the health and social care environment
  • Ability to process complex information in a logical order
  • Ability to discuss and explain complex issues to staff at all levels
  • Ability to record complex information in an accurate and logical manner
  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of supporting project delivery, service improvement or change initiatives within health, care, community or public sector settings.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining project documentation
  • Demonstrable experience of communications with staff at all levels, both internally and externally to support service change, improvement and project delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with external stakeholders (e.g. commissioners, contractors, suppliers, community Organisations)
  • Ability to process complex information in a logical order
  • Ability to record complex information in an accurate and logical manner

  • Previous experience of managing/leading a team
