The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support Worker / Carer, you will:

  • Provide personalised daily living support (washing, dressing, mobility, nutrition)
  • Deliver trauma-informed care, recognising triggers and supporting emotional regulation
  • Support individuals with complex emotional and behavioural needs
  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times
  • Administer medication in line with care plans and training
  • Encourage engagement in meaningful activities and community access
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care reviews
  • Work collaboratively with professionals and families
  • Create a safe, calm, and structured environment

You may already work in:

  • Residential care
