Business Wire is seeking a skilled Benefits Administrator to join their remote team and play a key role in supporting core employee benefit programs. The Benefits Administrator will manage day-to-day administration, maintain accurate records in Workday, and deliver a seamless experience for employees.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service to employees on benefits-related queries
- Manage benefits inbox and respond to employee and vendor inquiries
- Research, analyze, and manage benefit vendors and systems
- Manage core benefits functions, including health, life, and disability insurance, retirement plans, and leave administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Design, implement, and evaluate wellness program
- Manage leave of absence programs and ensure accurate payment
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and open enrollment
- Perform regular audits of benefits data and transactions
- Maintain accurate documentation and support internal and external audits
- Partner with Payroll, external vendors, and People & Culture functions
- Prepare and distribute 1094 and 1095 forms annually

Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR function
- Proven ability to manage core benefits processes
- Experience working with an HRIS platform (Workday preferred)
- Strong understanding of benefits-related laws and compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service-oriented approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
