  • Have full access to your own vehicle and driver’s licence
  • Currently reside in and have your own accommodation in or around Sunderland
  • Be available to travel to our care packages in Washington and the surrounding areas

Home Care Assistant – Sponsorship Available

Based in Washington

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile & travel time at £12.71 per hour

Hours: 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, 4/3 shift patterns + alternate weekends

Areas Covered: Washington, SR1, SR2, NE9 7, NE36 0, NE37 1, NE37 2, NE37 3, NE38 7, NE38 8, NE38 9, NE38 0, DH4 7, and DH3 1

No experience necessary – paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.

As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support individuals in Sunderland to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every visit is an opportunity to make someone’s day brighter and yours more fulfilling. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Supporting medication and meal preparation
  • Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs
  • Providing companionship and emotional support

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
