Buffer creates social media and brand-building software for small businesses, creators, and individuals. They’re a fully distributed team with a unique and fulfilling workplace culture.
As a Customer Advocate, you’ll deliver exceptional customer support to creators and small businesses via email and social media. You’ll work closely with other Advocates and the Buffer team to surface customer feedback, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to product and support experience improvements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personal, informed, and fast customer support
- Take ownership of customer outcomes and create standout experiences
- Contribute to shaping Buffer’s culture and values
- Serve as a product expert and creator
- Lead customer conversations across the entire journey
- Practice continuous improvement and collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and contribute to support documentation
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in customer-facing roles
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and curious
- Personal stake in content creation and social media
- Strong systems thinking about customer experience
- Experience with AI and automation tools, support and project management tools, and APIs
- 4+ years of customer support experience (depth of impact and passion for helping others matter more than timeline)
