Headquartered in Austintown, OH, we are a leading firm specializing in Workers’ Compensation, Labor & Employment, and Personal Injury law. We are seeking a professional, empathetic, and detail-oriented Live Chat Agent to manage our digital “front door” and assist potential clients in their time of need.
As a Remote Live Chat Agent, you will be the first point of contact for individuals visiting our website seeking legal assistance. This is not a sales role; it is a specialized intake position. You will use our secure chat platform to gather preliminary case details, answer general firm questions, and screen inquiries based on our practice areas.
Responsibilities
- Real-Time Engagement: Manage 2–3 simultaneous chat conversations professionally and with extreme attention to detail.
- Use firm-approved scripts and logic to determine if a lead falls under our core practice areas (Workers’ Comp, Employment Discrimination, Personal Injury).
- Information Gathering: Accurately collect contact information and brief incident summaries for attorney review.
- Provide a calm, supportive experience for individuals who may be distressed due to workplace injuries or legal challenges.
- Directly input chat transcripts and lead data into our case management system (e.g., Clio or MyCase).
- Compliance: Strictly adhere to HIPAA and attorney-client confidentiality standards in every digital interaction.
Qualifications:
- Must have a dedicated, quiet home office with high-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps) and a modern computer.
- Minimum 65 WPM with 98% accuracy.
- Exceptional written English skills; must be able to explain complex firm procedures simply without providing “legal advice.”
- 2+ years in a live chat or high-volume digital customer service role. Legal or medical intake experience is highly preferred.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate is a plus.
