We are developing a highly skilled and dedicated fostering community to support Local Authorities by providing short or long-term foster placements for vulnerable children and teenagers throughout the UK.

Job Overview

You will schedule, coordinate, and minute fostering panel meetings. Ensure timely distribution of panel papers and agendas to members. Maintain a secure and confidential panel database. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and confidentiality protocols. Track panel recommendations, decisions, and feedback in line with timescales. Liaise with the Agency Decision Maker (ADM), Panel Chair, and Registered Manager to ensure efficient operation of panel processes. Maintain and review panel member records including training, DBS checks, and declarations of interest.

 

Experience

  • Proven office experience or administrative background is essential
  • Previous foster panel experience desired.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and other similar platforms.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute with high accuracy
  • Demonstrated data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Previous clerical experience in a busy office environment is advantageous
  • Knowledge of office procedures, protocols, and phone etiquette is preferred
