Job Summary

Quilombo UK is seeking an experienced Research Assistant to join our growing organisation. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in the Third Sector, develop skills and management experience, and contribute to the community. The position provides flexibility and autonomy, with specific training provided to support your growth.

 

Duties (Training included)

  • Find published materials related to Quilombo UK’s objectives, focusing on cultural and racial diversity, and stereotypes in UK communities.
  • Collect and share relevant materials, including articles, journals, and news stories, to inform future activities and events.
  • Work closely with the Professional Development Programme participants in Marketing and PR.
  • Provide written reports as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Good written skills and ability to explain concepts and projects clearly.
  • Self-starting and willing to research and catalogue evidence.
  • Good communication and team-working skills.
  • Committed to working with the community and helping others.
  • Computer literate, with Microsoft Word skills (Excel skills beneficial).
  • Professional and a strong team player
